France has been leading the way in gender equality efforts....

At the Paris Olympic Games in 2024, France demonstrated to the world their dedication to equality for all by their inclusion of a diverse range of drag queens as the show-stoppers at their Games' opening ceremony.

Prior to The Games in Paris, in the midst of The United States debacle over abortion rights for women, France marked their stand by inscribing abortion rights into their constitution(1).

🌟France highlighted their great honor as the first country to create a fundamental guarantee to abortion rights by declaring their new constitutional amendment on the significant gender equality day of International Women's Day on March 8th, 2024.

Flash forward to today, France has again demonstrated their fundamental respect for women by announcing their plans to implement gender equality and consent lessons for children as young as four, in all schools. (2).

Unknown to most international readers, France's dedication to gender equality likely blossoms from their deep-rooted feministic culture.

🌈 In France, men find happiness, their dopamine rushes, by how they treat women.

Treating the women in their life with respect and adoration is a highly-regarded quality for men in French culture.

Compared to other Western countries, French women have different 'norms'.

🌟 Natural faces, possibly with the bold statement of a red lip 💋 or baret.

Over-consumption and fashion trends are pushed to the side over timeless styles such as the black-and-white Breton-striped top.

French women seek to find the clothing and shoe designs that match perfectly with their individual body type, seeking unique and classy looks.

When they find their ideal matches, French women continue to purchase the same item throughout their lifetime, in different colors and shades.

Holding women on a pedestal and cherishing their natural beauty is one likely explanation for France's exemplification of gender equality.

The principal motivator towards France's more recent efforts to reduce sexual abuse in the country stems from the widely-broadcasted case of Gisèle Pelicot.

In 2024, Gisèle Pelicot unbelievably discovered through the finding of old video tapes, that her husband had raped her unknowingly, along with 50 other men, over the course of a decade, by secretly drugging her during meals. More details of the case here.

Despite this horrific situation, Gisèle was victorious in the case: on December 19th, 2024, the majority of her rapists and abusers, along with her husband, were found guilty and subjected to prison time of at least 20 years. Throughout her 15-week case, Gisèle was treated honorably by the men and women of France, being handed flowers and remarks of gratitude and pride for her public stance; each time she entered the courthouse for a trial. 🌸 👏

Gisèle's daughter and sons also took a STRONG stance against their father, supporting their mother every step of the trial process.

In the face of horrible acts against women throughout the world and in their own country, France shines a bright light with continuous legal stamps towards gender equality and reducing sexual abuse.
