The United States is placing strict tariffs on imported goods.
What seems like a loss for the general population, as the price of goods raise, is actually a huge sustainability win!
As the United States has imposed these new high tariffs on foreign nations' goods, the effected countries have begun to hit-back the US with its own raised tariffs on goods.
The initial remarks are that the increased price of imported goods will be raised on consumers.
Hold your horses, 🐴 🛑
the raised tariffs will cause internal good production to increase.
The US companies' local products' prices will be lower compared to the foreign goods, and the same for the nations that were receiving products from the US, such as Canada.
The pros are greatly outweighing the cons on these new tariff plans,
creating an avenue for internal, home-grown and made products to become more popular than cheap foreign products, allowing small, local businesses a chance to shine☀.
Additionally, less product imports = less worldwide shipping.
Less shipping = less fuel emissions & ocean waste.
Another pro to the scale of justice...

Reduced imported good means that each country's population will eat more food in-season.
Receiving food from outside of your borders signifies that you are consuming food that is "out-of-season" for your location.
Basing our diet on foods that are in-season is incredibly beneficial not only for our country's economy and the environment, but also for our health.
🥕 🍏 🌾
Studies have shown that your local in-season produce is incredibly beneficial for that specific region's nutritional needs; matching what your body needs more of, what your are malnourished of during each specific season.
Nishanga Bliss, a food educator with a background in Chinese medicine, in her book, "Real Food All Year: Eating Seasonal Whole Foods for Optimal Health and All-Day Energy" has meticulously researched how the seasons affect our bodies and offers detailed guidance for enriching our connection to each season through mindful eating. Nishanga Bliss, MSTCM, "Over millennia, cultures developed agriculture methods, cooking, and eating in harmony with other people and with the seasons. There was a lot of trial-and-error in discovering which foods worked for health and well-being... People prepared and ate food in groups. There was a connection with community, season, and place."
Side-note: What a bomb last name....
Nishanga Bliss describes in her book how eating out-of-season, imported foods has contributed to humans not meeting proper dietary allowances of nutrients.
With a worldwide shift to home-grown goods and local businesses, we can expect our bodies' nutritional and environmental health to sky-rocket.
A trend of higher tariffs meaning a trend of higher wellbeing ;)
Let those positive vibes uplift you today!
